Philippine Rockers Basti Artadi of Wolfgang (photo), David Aguirre of Razorback, Perf De Castro of Rivermaya/Triaxis, Phil Recto of Bonehead, and Tim of Carpools/Introvoys came together and formed (supergroup) Kapoteng Bakal for one night only to benefit the typhoon victims in the Philippines.

I love Ottawa. I love cities with Old World feel to it. So much history in the air. We arrived the city and the weather was cooperating. Sun was out, wind not too harsh; just a cool breeze. My J and I walked to the Parliament to do the tourist thing and it was fun until we ran out of battery so we headed back to the roach motel my MIL booked but not til after we stopped by LCBO to buy a bottle of ice wine (which was too sweet, we couldn’t drink more than half a plastic cup – courtesy of the cheap looking yet overpriced motel.)

Across town lies the province of Quebec. Maybe next time I’d cross the bridge to the land of French Canucks.

We’re crazy about this city. First time we came here, we walked the streets all day, all over town and nobody hassled us. People smiled, friendly-like, and we knew we could live here. We’d like to keep our place in Greenwich Village and have an apartment here, God and the Immigration Service willing. Los Angeles? That’s just a big parking lot where you buy a hamburger for the trip to San Francisco.
